The community of Hiawatha First Nation is located on the north shore of Rice Lake approximately 20 minutes from Peterborough just east of the Otonabee River.
Mississaugi people have made this area home since the 17th century. Today the community remains a vibrant, proud, independent and healthy people balanced in the richness of their culture and traditional way of life.
