A tipping point in her life influenced Kerry McMaster to become a business owner. She decided to open Revive Hair Lounge: a fashion-forward, eco-friendly hair salon. What’s her plan now? To grow steadily over the next 5 years becoming a hip salon that will employ 4-6 staff members. Growth that she will facilitate through the successful implementation of her marketing plan – networking in the community, taking advantage of pop-up shops and seminars to provide added value to existing customers and expand her client base.
Hair today, gone tomorrow is something that Kerry plans to prove wrong with the marketing plan she created as a piece of her business plan through the B.L.A.S.T. Pilot Program. Kerry credits the program with giving her the skills she needed to prepare a business plan – a process that allowed her to see the evolution of her business idea. She encourages other aspiring entrepreneurs to learn from her experience and, “ to take the time to get a good foundation and go for it!”.
We asked Kerry, how she defines success. She answered: ”Success is living life in a way that makes you happy and can help or benefit others.”
